Unlocking Institutional Capital for Climate Investments in Emerging Markets

23-26 June 2026 | London, UK

As part of London Climate Action Week 2026, the Climate & Energy Transition Finance Initiative (CETFI) is convening a series of high-level dialogues focused on redesigning how global capital is mobilised, structured and deployed for climate action across emerging markets and the Global South.

Bringing together family offices, pension funds, institutional investors, development finance institutions, guarantors, insurers, policymakers and climate investment leaders, the programme will explore the full climate finance value chain — from early-stage catalytic capital and risk mitigation instruments to listed investment structures and long-term institutional participation.

Across four interconnected sessions, discussions will focus on building the next generation of climate capital structures: enabling private wealth to invest with conviction, creating listed pathways for institutional capital, deploying guarantees and insurance to unlock emerging market opportunities, and integrating all asset classes into a scalable Climate Capital Stack.

The objective is to move beyond fragmented financing solutions towards investible, replicable and scalable models capable of accelerating trillions of dollars of climate investment into the markets where it is needed most.
